Uniaxial Polyester Geogrid
Uniaxial Polyester Geogrid is a high-strength material developed to meet the needs of various civil engineering applications. It is manufactured by weaving polyester microfibers into rectangular patterns and coating them with polymer or PVC. Specially designed stitching at the nodes ensures high performance and added durability.
Applications and Usage Areas:
Uniaxial Geogrid is used in applications where strength is required in a single direction, such as slope stabilization and reinforced retaining structures (GeoArme). Its fast and economical installation, safe seismic performance, flexible structure, resistance to settlement, and aesthetic appearance make it ideal for reinforced retaining systems (GeoArme Retaining Systems) in:
- Road widening projects
- Approach walls of bridge intersections
- Areas subject to expropriation
- Land reclamation works
- Bridge abutment walls
- Bridge elevation walls
- Park and garden walls

- It is durable, long-lasting, reliable, low-cost, and resistant to seismic and dynamic loads.
- When fill or granular material is laid on the geogrid, the grains of the fill material interlock perfectly with the openings of the geogrid.
- It creates an integral part with the fill material by ensuring that the stress is counteracted within the pores.
- Thus, the tensile and shear stresses that will be applied to the ground are counteracted by the geogrid, creating a reinforced platform.
ForTex GG is produced in rolls with a maximum width of 6 m and a length of generally 100 m. Each roll is shipped in UV-protected packaging.
When stacking, a maximum of 6 rows should be placed on top of each other. If the roll width is shorter (up to 2 m), it is recommended that the rolls be loaded and stored vertically.
