Polypropylene Geotextile
Polypropylene Geotextile is a white, nonwoven textile product produced by needle-punching and heat-treating pure polypropylene-based fibers much thinner than a millimeter.
Its continuous surface is used to separate two different types of soil. It resists tensile forces distributed within the soil mass and acts as a reinforcing element.
Its filtering properties can be used for contamination purposes. While preventing the passage of solid particles, it remains sufficiently permeable to liquids and gases. It has hydraulic and mechanical functions. It serves as a protective and separating layer.
Polypropylene Nonwoven Geotextile Applications and Uses
In engineering applications, it is used between fill layers to prevent the passage of fine particles and to filter water, making it an ideal choice for the following applications:
- In French drain channels
- Around perforated drainage pipes
- Behind retaining walls
- It is used to protect waterproofing applications on building foundations due to its pressure-distributing effect.
- It protects geomembranes applied in open areas against tearing or damage caused by punctures and excessive friction.
- Green roof systems as an insulation protector and water and moisture retainer

Mühendislik uygulamalarında kaba ve ince dolgu malzemelerinin arasında kullanılarak ince danelerin kaba daneler arasına suyla birlikte hareketini engeller.
Temel altında ince daneleri zemin üzerine serilerek kaba daneli dolguların zamanla gömülmesini engeller, kaba daneli malzemenin ince daneler ile kirlenerek mühendislik özelliğini kaybetmesini engeller.
Malzemeler 1 ila 6m genişliğinde ve 30 ila 200m uzunluğunda rulolar halinde sevk edilir.
Malzemeler düz zeminde ve iç mekanlarda depolanmalıdır.
Depolanan ürünler direkt güneş ışığından, ısıdan ve tutuşturucu kaynaklardan uzak tutulmalıdır.
