Water Retaining Tape

Water Retaining Tape

Water retaining tape is used at expansion and contraction joints in concrete and reinforced concrete building elements to prevent the structure from being damaged due to horizontal and vertical movements. It is also a sealing gasket made of PVC used in low and high pressure structures where water tightness is important.

Water retaining tape is an inevitable need to make expansion and contraction joints in the construction of reinforced concrete structures. Thus, PVC-based water retaining tapes should be used to prevent water and other liquids from leaking from the inside of the structure to the outside or from the outside into the structure.

APPLICATION AND AREAS OF USE

It is resistant to heat from 40 to +70 degrees.
The joints of the water retaining tapes are joined with a special welding machine so that the end points come together.

  • Swimming pool
  • Water tank
  • water treatment plant
  • Retaining wall
  • manhole
  • In garage construction, foundation and curtain concrete combinations
  • In tunnel segments
  • It is used as a water retaining tape in cold joints at the junctions of old and new concrete.
  • At the junctions of steel profiles and pipes with concrete
  • It is used as a water retaining flange at PVC pipe inlets and outlets.
  • It is extremely easy to work with. Workmanship defects that are frequently seen in PVC waterstop tapes are not encountered.
  • One person can practice up to 130 meters per hour.
  • It is easy to apply even with excess reinforcement.
  • Joining the joints consists of bringing them side by side and pressing them.
  • It is packaged in 7-meter rolls so that one person can easily apply it.
  • Since it swells at an ideal rate in a controlled manner, it does not swell suddenly during fresh concrete pouring.
  • It is valid for one year from the date of manufacture in a moisture-free and cool environment.
  • Do not expose to direct sunlight and heat.
  • Do not leave the box lid open.
